Taylor Swift teamed up with Disney+ for a new concert film which premieres on Nov. 25th. In the concert film Swift performs her newest album ‘Folklore’ in the album order while also giving exclusive insights into each song. Swift directed the film herself and had help from Jack Antonoff, Aaron Dessner and Justin Vernon.
The announcement from Swift about her new film was released only hours prior to the Grammy nomination announcements. This news also came in the midst of Swift’s fight over the music rights for all of her albums. Swift’s first six albums were bought by Scooter Braun, who wouldn’t allow Taylor Swift to buy back her own music rights. Braun sold the music rights to Shamrock Holdings. From there, Swift announced that she was going to re-record all of her previous music so that she would have the music rights to her music.
