The Grammys Chose Their Host for Their 2021 Show

On Nov. 24th the Grammys released who their host would be for their 2021 show. It was none other than ‘The Daily Show’ host Trevor Noah. Noah said this about the big announcement, “Despite the fact that I am extremely disappointed that the Grammys have refused to have me sing or be nominated for best pop album, I am thrilled to be hosting this auspicious event,” he said. Harvey Mason, Jr. who is the Recording Academy chair and interim president/CEO continued by saying, “With a knack for keeping viewers engaged and entertained, Trevor is the perfect choice to lead us through what’s sure to be an incredible evening full of music, unforgettable moments, unity and inspiration.

COVID has of course affected the operations of how the Grammys will be planned and what they will look like in 2021. As many awards shows have occurred in the last few months, they have pathed the way for how a live award show can continue to stay entertaining and maintain COVID protocols. There will be a variation of mediums at the Grammys including both live and pre-recorded performances.
