In March of 2021, Apple TV+ announced that a new anthology series titled “Roar” was in the works. Reported to be an adaptation of Cecilia Ahern’s collection of short stories under the same name and with directors Carly Mensch and Liz Flahive creating the show, many are awaiting the arrival of “Roar” with high expectations of receiving an extremely poignant and powerful dark comedy with an emphasis on contemporary feminism.

This past week, “Roar” has been given a premiere date of April 15th for users of the streaming service. A full cast has also been released, with several star names joining head actress Nicole Kidman, including Merritt Wever, Meera Syal, Cynthia Erivo, Kara Hayward, Fivel Stewart, and more. Without much promotional info being released on the show, or even a full trailer, interests have surely been peaked as members of the streaming service await to see what “Roar” is all about.
