The popular series titled ‘The Boys’ at Amazon has already started work on a spinoff. The three new additions are Shane Paul McGhie, Maddie Phillips and Aimee Carrero. All three of them will play young superheroes as they navigate life at the only college for young superheroes. The series is “an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. Part college show, part Hunger Games — with all the heart, satire and raunch of The Boys.”
‘The Boys’ is similar to Marvel in that it’s based on a best-selling comic. Ennis and Robertson are the authors for the original comics. ‘The Boys’ was also just renewed for a third season back in July, all this happening prior to the second season even airing. They found major success with their first season. Amazon has been capitalizing on it, adding “Prime Rewind: Inside The Boys” with Aisha Tyler as the host. “The Boys” is based on a best-selling comic by Ennis and Robertson.
