Kaley Cuoco has found success on the small screen and is continuing with a new series about the life of Doris Day. Cuoco will portray Day as the show takes a look at Day’s life as an actress, singer, and activist. Warner Bros Television is teaming up with Cuoco to create this new limited series. A man named A.E Hotchner wrote a book in 1976 about Day’s life titled, ‘Doris Day: Her Own Story’. There is no network currently ties to the project.
Doris Day started her life in the limelight as a singer before making her way to movie musicals in the 1940s. Throughout the next two decades she was known for her work in films like ‘Calamity Jane’ and ‘The Man Who Knew Too Much’. Day’s image was based on girl next door vibes and conservative values. Day ended up being married four different times and fell into financial troubles in her third marriage. Her tv comeback saved her from crippingly debt but she dreaded working. Once she financially recovered she became a animal welfare activist. Both Day and Cuoco can agree on that issue with both of them having a strong love for animals. Day passed away in 2019 at the age of 97.
