“I didn’t hate my mother. It was an accident.”

That’s right, folks. The iconic teen is about to earn her place on the small screen in a new live-action series directed by Tim Burton.

Having been in development since October, the project was just picked up by Netflix. Wednesday will follow the enigmatic character through her years at Nevermore Academy. She’ll wrestle with her psychic abilities, solve a mystery or two, and maybe slay a monster along the way.

The series will be executive produced by Al Gouch and Miles Millar, the creators of the series, along with the incredible Tim Burton, who will be directing.
