Hulu Is Extending The Emmy-winning Drama ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ For A Fifth Season

With the fourth seasons set to premiere in 2021, Hulu has already given the show a renewal for their fifth season. The show just recently resumed filming after the pandemic, like many shows, shut down and delayed their filming. The 10-episode fourth season will consist of the same number of episodes as the first season but less than the second and third season episode counts.

Bruce Miller is both the creator of the show and the showrunner. Miller said this about the renewal at Hulu, “We’re very grateful to Hulu and MGM that the show will be returning for a fifth season, and especially to our loyal fans for their support,” says Miller. “We are thrilled to be able to continue to tell these stories, with our incredible cast and crew, and can’t wait to be back on the air with season four next year.”
