HBO Max Gives Series Order to DC Comic Adaption ‘DMZ’

HBO Max gives series order to Ava DuVernay’s DC Comic Adaption, ‘DMZ’. This series order comes 13 months after HBO Max ordered the pilot. It will feature actors Rosario Dawson and Benjamin Bratt. The series is set in the near future when America is in its 2nd Civil War. With New York city abandoned, a mom(Rosario Dawson) starts her journey to reconnect with her son after they were separated during the evacuation of the city. In the meantime, a powerful gang leader(Benjamin Bratt) has a plan for rebuilding and ruling his own world.

‘DMZ’ is created by Roberto Patino, who is best known for his work on ‘Westworld’. Patino will also fill the role of showrunner on the series. Ava DuVernay will serve as the executive producer. The series is set to start production early next year.
