Several actresses will be on board at the Carla 2020 to speak about on-and-off screen representation of Black, Indigenous people of color, as well as more inclusivity to create a diverse business.

Carla 2020 is a global online conference set to run August 21 to 23. The main topic at hand will be the challenges people of color face in the industries, as well as ways to make them more diverse and inclusive. Discussions will be on decolonizing narratives, unconscious bias, sexual harassment, and more. Helene Granqvist, president of Women in Film & Television International, says, “Carla is all about creating change in a time when we so desperately need it.”
