Last week, father-daughter team Ron Cephas Jones (“This is Us”) and Jasmine Cephas Jones (“Hamilton”) announced the 2021 Emmy awards’ complete nominations list. Following a tumultuous year amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the ceremony will be returning to the small screen with some level of normalcy— boasting a limited live audience. While “The Mandalorian” and “The Crown” are currently leading the race in nominations, “Lovecraft County” and the “Handmaid’s Tale” are trailing close behind.
