The 2021 Oscars Are Getting Rejuvenated With Performances From Original Song Nominees

At this year’s Oscars, there will be performances from all of the nominees for Best Original Song, here is the list of nominees:

  • ‘Fight For You’ from ‘Judas and the Black Messiah’ (By H.E.R. and Dernst Emile II, and Tiara Thomas)
  • ‘Hear My Voice’ from ‘The Trial of the Chicago 7’ (By Daniel Pemberton, Daniel Pemberton, and Celeste Waite)
  • ‘Husavik’ from ‘Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga’ (By Savan Kotecha, Fat Max Gsus and Rickard Gransson)
  • ‘Io Si (Seen)’ from ‘The Life Ahead (La Vita Davanti a Se)’ (By Diane Warren and Laura Pausini)
  • ‘Speak Now’ from ‘One Night in Miami…’ (By Leslie Odom, Jr. and Sam Ashworth)

Out of the five songs, four o will be pre-taped at the Dolby Family Terrace of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. The fifth being ‘Husavik’ will be recorded in the city it’s named after, Húsavík, Iceland. The Oscars this year will air on ABC April 26 at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT. It’s also being hosted by Ariana DeBose (known for her role in ‘Hamilton) and Lil Rel Howery (known for ‘Bad Trip’). Following the main award show will be ‘Oscars: After Dark’ which is the after-party hosted by Colman Domingo (known for his role in ‘Zola’) and Andrew Rannells (known for ‘The Prom’).
