ABC is teaming up with Don Cheadle for their newest reboot! ABC is bringing back the ‘Wonder Years’ and Don Cheadle is narrating. He will be the voice of main character Dean as he navigates growing up in Alabama in the 60s in a Black middle-class family. Dean while narrated by Cheadle, will be played by Elisha Willaims. Williams will be joined by a cast that includes: Dule Hill, Laura Kariuki, and Saycon Sengbloh.

“Wonder Years”, the original ABC series was on from 1988 to 1993. It spanned for six seasons as well as 100+ episodes. This series was based on the Arnold family, the dad was looking back on his youth. He looked back on life in the 60s and 70s. The show  received a multitude of awards including, a Peabody Award, four Emmy Awards, Humanitas Prizes, and a Golden Globe. This new reboot will be written by aw well as executive produced by Saladin Patterson, Lee Daniels, and Marc Velez.
