Emmy Awards Airing Live on September 19th

This year, the ceremony will air at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBS.

Last year, the Emmys were held as a mostly virtual event, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel at the Staples Center. There are many months between now and September, so CBS and the TV Academy plan to wait before deciding the plan for this year’s Emmy Awards. Below is the TV Academy’s 2021 calendar.

Online entry process begins

Deadline to apply for membership to guarantee voting eligibility for both rounds of the 73rd Emmy competition.

April 6

Deadline for current voting members to apply for hyphenate voting status

May 13, 6 p.m.

Entry deadline for ALL entries that were originally presented 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM, June 1, 2020 – May 31, 2021

June 17

Nominations-round voting begins

June 28, 10 p.m.

Nominations-round voting ends

Nominations announced

Deadline for errors and omissions to the nominations

August 13

Final-round videos available for viewing
