Final New Episodes of ‘Jeopardy!’ With Host Alex Trebek Set To Premiere In January

Following the tragic death of Alex Trebek in November last year, the final episodes of ‘Jeopardy!’ with Trebek as host are airing in the first week of January. Trebek came out and announced his diagnosis with stage-four pancreatic cancer in March 2019. Trebek continued his duties on the show throughout his treatment and gave frequent updates on his condition. The last episodes of the game-show with him as host from Jan. 4th through Jan. 8th. The show has plans to honor Trebek in the last episode on Jan. 8th and show a special tribute to the host.

When Trebek filmed his last episode on Oct. 29th Trebek had filmed and worked on 8,200+ episodes over 37 seasons. His works had gained him five Daytime Emmy awards and even a Guinness World Record title as he hosted the most episodes of a single game show. Following the premiere of Trebek’s last episodes, Ken Jennings will be taking over as a part-time host. Jennings is known as a long-time player and winner on ‘Jeopardy!’.
