The former NBC comedy not only is switching over to Peacock but also getting a 4th season renewal. This will also be the first scripted renewal for Peacock. NBC canceled the well-reviewed comedy following its third season but now will not only come back but have a new 8-episode season in 2021. A.P. Bio follows a discredited scholar who ended up as a high school biology teacher. Executively produced by Seth Meyers and Lorne Michaels the show stars Glenn Howerton, Patton Oswalt, Mary Sohn, Lyric Lewis, Jean Villepique and Paula Pell.
The comedy’s creator/showrunner Mike O’Brien said in a statement, “We’re so thankful to Peacock and everyone who watched! Season three was the most fun we’ve had. I want to dig even deeper into the main characters and also keep messing with the sitcom format.” ‘A.P. Bio’ is joining a multitude of shows coming to Peacock next year including, ‘Saved by the Bell’ reboot, ‘Bel-Air’, ‘Dr. Death’, ‘Girls5Eva’, ‘MacGruber’, ‘One of Us Is Lying’, ‘Punky Brewster’ and ‘Rutherford Falls’.
