The project is based on Reagan at Reykjavik: Forty-Eight Hours That Ended the Cold War by Ken Adelman.

Michael Douglas and Christoph Waltz will be playing Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev in a limited series from Paramount TV Studios. The two stars will executive produce the limited series, alongside director James Foley and Youtchi Von Lintel.
