After intense negotiations with multiple other streamers, HBO picks up ‘Nice White Parents’. HBO was competing with Netflix and the Obamas over the series. ‘Nice White Parents’ talks about the fundamental racial issues embedded in the New York school system. It satirically follows a story about white parents who send-claim to be well-meaning. But who employ the power that they do have on minority students.
‘Nice White Parents’ started as a podcast in July and quickly gained popularity. The five-part podcast is being developed into half-hour episodes. Executively produced by Issa Rae, who worked on ‘Insecure’ and Adam McKay, most known for his work on ’Succession’.
