Ryan Murphy revealed that he’s writing a spinoff of ‘American Horror Story’ and while we don’t know much, here is what we do know. It will be 16-episodes focusing on “horror myths, legends and lore” according to Murphy. Murphy also confirmed that “many of these episodes” will star the familiar faces from ‘American Horror Story’. It was also confirmed that the series will not be on Netflix but on FX, where Murphy has a $300 million dollar deal.
The news comes as ‘American Horror Story’ is currently in production for their 10th season. The series, like most, was delayed due to COVID-19. Usually the new season would premiere in October, but a new start date is yet to be confirmed. In season eight of ‘American Horror Story’ fans got a crossover episode between ‘Murder House’ and ‘Coven’. This was a major nod to the future spinoff as it showed a clear connection between the two worlds.
