Marco Television is working on a vampire hip hop drama series titled ‘Thirst’. The show is based on the story of an Atlanta rapper that joins a famous hip hop group on his quest for fame. Little does he know, the group is a family of vampires. The show’s writers, executive producers, and showrunners will be Leah Benavides Rodriguez and Carlito Rodriguez.
The Rodriguez duo said this in a joint-statement, “Music has been integral to both our lives, and ‘Thirst’ is the perfect opportunity to blend genres, while exploring the intersection of fame, culture and what it means to be American,” and “We’re excited to bring it to life with Macro Television Studios and the rest of our dope team, and thrilled it has found its home at HBO.”
