Due to lingering concerns of the ongoing pandemic, New York City mayor Bill de Blasio announced that the famous Macy’s Thanksgiving parade will not be able to be experienced in person. De Blasio confirmed that the parade will be held virtually and Americans across the country can watch it on TV and online.
“Macy’s website notes that further details about the reimagined celebration are forthcoming. It also points to its work on this year’s Fourth of July fireworks display as inspiration for the November event.”
