White actors will no longer be voicing BIPOC roles in shows such as ‘The Simpsons’ and ‘Family Guy’, allowing for non-White actors to act in these roles instead.

Mike Henry, who voiced Cleveland Brown, a Black character, on ‘Family Guy’, has made the decision to stop voicing him after two decades of doing so. He wrote, “I love this character, but persons of color should play characters of color.”

Other shows such as ‘Big Mouth’ and ‘Central Park’ has plans to recast their mixed-race characters in response to the lack of inclusivity within the industry.
