Alison Schapker, the ‘Altered Carbon’ showrunner, will be developing a “reimagined” take on ‘Hotel Del Luna’.
In 2019, the drama ‘Hotel Del Luna’ was a hit in South Korea, rated as tvN network’s top drama of the year. The Korean show was written by sisters Hong Jeong-eun and Hong Mi-ran, and was directed by Oh Chung-hwan and Kim Jung-hyun. This year, Alison Schapker and Skydance Television will be creating an adaptation of it, “reimagined for a global audience.”
“At its core, ‘Hotel Del Luna’ is a spectacular visual fantasy grounded in a story about the importance of human connection, lost loves and unfinished business,” Skydance TV president Bill Bost noted. “We are excited to be partnering with Alison and Studio Dragon to bring this timeless story to a global audience.”
