The ‘Party of Five’ reboot detailing the lives of a family struggling to return back to normal after their parents are deported has been canceled.

The show only went through one season with 10 episodes, unable to justify a reason for there being any second season due to low viewership. Considering as to how the series was being shown on Freeform and being produced by Sony, there were issues with licensing fees in premiering the show, thus being a big factor of causing its cancellation.

Despite having low viewership, the dramatic series received favorable reviews with a 96 percent rating with critics and a 63 percent with its viewers.

The reboot follows the original premise from 1990s Fox original with a modern commentary on immigration family laws in the United States. ‘Party of Five’ features actors Brandon Larracuente, Emily Tosta, Niko Guardado, and Elle Paris Legaspi trying to adapt to their new ways of lives and taking on the roles that their parents used to fill.
