Netflix Signs Deal with the Popular Adult Animation Studio that Brought You ‘Big Mouth’

After dominating the 2020 Annie Awards, primarily fueled by their 2019 animated movies Klaus and I Lost My Body, Netflix is diving deeper into the pool of animated film.

Yesteday, Netflix announced that it had just signed a deal with the adult animation company Titmouse, home to a variety of popular and well-loved TV programs from ‘Rick and Morty’ to ‘Family Guy’. The draw of investing more into the animation genre is clear; unlike live-action scripted originals, animation is not nearly as expensive to create and has the potential to produce millions of dollars in profit.

Titmouse president and founder Chris Prynoski spoke highly of the new deal with Netflix, quipping, “When Netflix asked if we wanted to go steady, we were thrilled… This new and exciting relationship will help quench our relentless thirst for producing animated cartoons. Excuse me, I’m gonna go carve NF+TM on a tree now.”

Netflix and Titmouse plan to develop and produce a new influx of adult animation, both series and originals, over the course of the year.
