Last Wednesday, Awkwafina premiered her semi-autobiographical TV show on Comedy Central. The popular actress, comedian, writer, and producer delivered the cable network’s biggest three-day audience since 2017.

Within three days, ‘Awkwafina is Nora from Queens’ boosted from a premiere audience of 489,000 to a grand total of 818,000. And that’s not counting 1.7 million views on YouTube, bringing the show’s premiere audience to a stunning 2.2 million.

Awkwafina co-created the series with Teresa Hsiao, and she stars alongside BD Wong, Lori Tan Chinn, and Bowen Yang. Due to its overwhelming initial success, Comedy Central has already renewed the show for a second season.
