Yet another Muppets project has been cancelled at the Disney Studios, due to a creative discrepancy.

Reportedly there was a disagreement over the vision of the show between creators Josh Gad, Adam Horowitz & Eddy Kitsis and the top executives at the Muppet Studio.

Besides this, there are a multitude of Muppet projects on television, including the short form series ‘Muppets Now’ which is still set to premiere on Disney+ in 2020. In 2015, ABC attempted a Muppet project with ‘The Muppets’, which lasted only a season due to extremely low ratings.

Disney+ also recently scrapped ‘Book of Enchantment’ which focuses on classic Disney villains rather than the heroes. The show was reportedly shaping up for six months before its pilot order, but ultimately did not go forward.
