The show, set at the beloved musical’s Rydell High, has landed at ViacomCBS’ streaming platform Paramount+ after originally being ordered for WarnerMedia’s HBO Max. It is also being retitled from Grease: Rydell High to Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies.

“The move comes after HBO Max opted not to go forward with the show. Earlier this year a management shakeup at WarnerMedia put HBO topper Casey Bloys put in charge of the streamer.”
