Blake Shelton will be branching out into scripted programming through NBC.

The country music star and judge on ‘The Voice’ will be teaming up with ‘The Fast and the Furious’ writer Gary Scott Thompson. They will be working on a potential series based on his song, ‘God’s Country.’ Thompson will also be executive producing alongside Shelton, Narvel Blackstock, and Laurie Pozmantier.
