Seth MacFarlane, Peacock Nab Rights to ‘Skywatch’ Viral Short

The project, by former Pixar artist Colin Levy, will be adapted for television.

Universal Studio Group’s UCP and Peacock have landed rights to the 10-minute short film Skywatch. Created over the course of six years with help from volunteer artists, Colin Levy wrote and directed the short film. Levy and Mike Sundy co-wrote a feature script based on the short, posted to YouTube in December, where it has gained 1.4 million views.  MacFarlane will executive produce via his Fuzzy Door Productions.
