Due to positive reviews from critics and its fans, Disney+ has decided to renew the comedy produced by Gina Rodriguez, ‘Diary of a Future President’ for a second season. The first season wrapped up in March after premiering 10 episodes.
Senior vice president of content, Agnes Chu, says that bringing back the series was essential as it was “fundamental to [their] content” for being “optimistic” and “heartfelt”.
‘Diary of a Future President’ is about Elena Cañero-Reed, played by Tess Romero, who strives to become the future United States president as she perseveres through the struggles of middle school.
