In spite of backlash, John Krasinski has sold ‘Some Good News’ to CBS after he explained that the series was not grounded in long-term plans.

CBS All Access will have Krasinski continue to be executive producer for the series, but will not be hosting new episode considering as to how he doesn’t “have the time”.

Krasinski told his ‘The Office’ co-star, Rainn Wilson, that he only planned to do eight episodes during the pandemic. With ‘Jack Ryan’ set to be in pre-production, he established that he has “prior commitments” and “writing, directing, and producing” would prove difficult if he didn’t get a partner in time to do the show with him.

‘Some Good News’ has received millions of fans. ‘The Office’ star remarked that it was shocking to have “one of the biggest news programs in America.”
