ABC has renewed 8 shows on their network in the past week, with the difficult decision to cancel 4 others in favor of greenlighting new shows.
Due to popular critic reviews praising the shows, series such as ‘American Housewife’, ‘Black-ish’, ‘Mixed-ish’, ‘The Conners’, ‘The Goldbergs’, ’The Rookie’, and ‘Stumptown’ have been renewed for their respective upcoming seasons. On the other hand, ‘Bless This Mess’, ‘Single Parents’, ’Schooled’, and ‘Emergence’ were all of the most recent shows to have been canceled.
‘The Big Sky’ will be coming to ABC in replacement of one of the shows that has been canceled. Alongside this show, ‘Call Your Mother’ is another one that ABC has decided to greenlight. These two shows are currently in pre-production with plans to head straight into production once the stay-at-home orders are lifted.
