London-based production company BeaglePug, founded by ‘Harry Potter’ producer David Barron, has teamed up with Enriched Media on the upcoming project.

‘Treachery of Spies’ focuses on a murder in World War 2-era France, and then focuses on a variety of different mysteries being investigated by a haunting female detective. The original novel, ‘A Treachery of Spies’ was published by Transworld Publishers in 2018, and became a recipient of the prestigious McIlvanney Prize for best crime novel in 2019. 

“Seeing the impact of the crime through the eyes of Inès, an ordinary woman with unique skills, only highlights how extraordinary the events were,” said Barron. “I’m thrilled to be adapting this wholly distinctive piece of European IP for the global market.”
