Thanks to the shortform streaming platform, the popular sketch comedy series will be airing for a second season.
‘Alternatino With Arturo Castro’ will be moving from the the ViacomCBS-owned cable network to Quibi. It debuted on ‘Comedy Central’ in July 2019 to mixed reviews and modest ratings. With Quibi facing a slower-than-projected start due to potential users staying home and utilizing other streaming platforms, it may be in need of this sketch comedy boost.
“I’m thrilled to launch ‘Alternatino’ in this exciting new platform while being able to remain a part of the Comedy Central family,” Castro announced. “I’m also thrilled about the churro truck they offered as part of the deal. Thanks Quibi! Mmm … churros.”
