With the inability to be on set during the COVID-19 pandemic, ’Saturday Night Live’ was able to bring their audiences its at-home finale through their usage of Zoom calls and pre-recorded sketches.
Kristen Wiig was the host for the finale, being featured in skits such as a hair tutorial parody alongside Aidy Bryant.
Another skit involved Melissa Villaseñor, once again, doing impressions of other celebrities for a mock MasterClass — this time around, she mimicked comedian John Mulaney and taught the audiences about comedy. In the same skit, Chloe Fineman played stars Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Britney Spears.
Pete Davidson came back with another at-home music video. He dedicated it to Danny Trejo, who has a documentary soon to come out.
Tina Fey guest starred for Weekend Update, trying to stay positive during the pandemic.
The last sketch involved the cast members experiencing their daily lives in New York City in their dreams, ending with Cecily Strong waking up towards the end.
