David Gordon Green will be directing upcoming episodes of the project, which is based off of the supernatural horror franchise.

The potential series originates from both the ‘Hellraiser’ film franchise and the Clive Barker novella ‘The Hellbound Heart.’ Rather than a reboot, it will be a continuation and expansion of the existing films. Barker, author of the original literature title, is not currently involved in the project.

Mark Verheiden and Michael Dougherty will executive produce with Green, and Andrew Farah and Adam Salzman are co-executive producers.
