The British Academy of Film and Television Awards has just announced that the TV Awards will be held sometime later this year.
Without setting specific dates, BAFTA announced yesterday that the television awards and television craft awards will be held later in 2020. Before the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, these ceremonies were to be held on April 26th and May 17th. The nominations, which were set for March 26th, have also been pushed back to later on in the year.
“We are continually monitoring the situation to ensure we are prepared for the challenges we may face in the coming weeks and months,” BAFTA said in a prepared statement. “We are closely following the advice of the World Health Organisation, NHS and GOV UK/Public Health England, and the safety of our members, guests and staff remains our top priority.”
