‘Star Trek: Picard’ prequel novel reveals that Worf replaced Jean-Luc as Captain of the Enterprise.

‘Star Trek: Picard’ is set 20 years after the final ‘Star Trek’ film, and the prequel novel has just revealed that Worf, played by Michael Dorn, is the new Captain of the Enterprise. Although many Trekkers may be surprised at Worf become Captain after abandoning a mission and earning a black mark on his record, Worf was a part of Picard’s crew since ‘Star Trek: Nemesis’, and served as the Enterprise’s Security Chief, the Lieutenant Commander, the Strategic Operations Officer, and the Ambassador to the Klingon homeworld throughout the course of the films.
