Amazon’s 10-episode thriller casts the popular star from ‘The Office’.

Rainn Wilson, generally known for his role as Dwight Schrute on the NBC sitcom ‘The Office’, has been cast as the pompous, self-important Daniel Dandon in Amazon’s latest suspense series. Based on the novel of the same name written by Naomi Alderman, the series focuses on an extraordinary phenomenon in which teen girls around the world develop the peculiar ability to randomly electrocute people.

“The Power” is produced by Tim Bricknell. It stars Leslie Mann, Auli’i Cravalho, John Leguizamo, Toheeb Jimoh, and Halle Bush. A release date for the series has not yet been announced.
