The popular Peabody-nominated comedy will air its fourth, final season in 2021.
‘Atypical’ stars Keir Gilchrist as a 19-year old boy, coming of age while also on the autistic spectrum. Creator Robia Rashid commented in a prepared statement on Monday that she is “thrilled” to be working on the fourth season of the show, although is saddened by its nearing end. “It’s my hope that the legacy of Atypical is that more unheard voices continue to be heard and that even after this series ends, we keep telling funny, emotional stories from underrepresented points of view,” Rashid remarked.
The series is created by Robia Rashid, and stars Jennifer Jason Leigh, Michael Rapaport and Brigette Lundy-Paine. The fourth and final season will consist of ten half-hour episodes, and a premiere date has not yet been announced.
