Netflix is ready to serve its latest documentary series- a close-up look into the life of this world-renowned Japanese tennis player.
Osaka is the first Asian player to reach the number one singles ranking, and is ranked tenth in the world by the Women’s Tennis Association. In addition to her athletic career and preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, the series will highlight her journey of self-discovery and reflections on her multi-cultural identity. As part of a prepared statement, Osaka commented, “To be able to tell my story and let people in during this big year… has been a rewarding experience. It won’t look like a traditional sports documentary, and I’m so excited to share it with everyone.”
The series will be directed by Garrett Bradley, and Netflix has not yet announced a title or a release date.
