The studio announced last Monday that it will be creating a series highlighting Greta Thunberg’s environmental activism.

BBC Studios unveiled their plan for the series at the BBC Showcase in Liverpool. The series will focus on Thunberg’s international crusade against climate change, as well as emphasizing Thunberg’s personal life as a seventeen-year old on the brink of adulthood.

BBC Studios Executive Producer, Rob Liddell, said of the series: “Climate change is probably the most important issue of our lives… to be able to do this with Greta is an extraordinary privilege, getting an inside view on what it’s like being a global icon and one of the most famous faces on the planet.”

Hulu has also announced a Greta Thunberg project, but details or a timeline have not yet been released.
