WarnerMedia’s chief content officer Kevin Reilly announced HBO Max would be keeping most WarnerMedia television series and movies for its own streaming services in order to limit competition against rival services such as Netflix and Hulu.

This caused disappointment among many fans after the announcement of Friends‘s upcoming removal from Netflix after they ended the license.

Reilly said: “The biggest and best known properties of WarnerMedia will be in HBO Max almost exclusively.”
