On Tuesday three hit series cast new recruits, from famous rock singer Marilyn Manson to ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ alum Timothy Olyphant.
‘This Is Us’ has added Tim Matheson to recur as Rebecca’s (Mandy Moore) father Dave. NBC has been tight lipped regarding Matheson’s character, but Moore teased that her character’s “father plays a bigger role in Rebecca and Jack’s relationship moving forward.”

‘American Gods’ has cast Marilyn Manson as John Wengren, the lead singer of a rock band. His storyline, which begins in season 3, is said to revolve around Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane) using Wengren’s death metal band “Blood Death” as a power source. Showrunner Chic Eglee says he’s been a long time admirer of Manson, and that “it is dope indeed to be working with Mr. Manson in Season 3 of American Gods.”

‘Fargo’ has added ‘Santa Clarita Diet’ alum Timothy Olyphant to the fourth installment. He’ll join frontrunners Chris Rock and Uzo Aduba in a story about Southern Europeans and African Americans on the hunt for the American Dream in Kansas in the 1950’s. Not much has been revealed about Olyphant’s character Dick “Deafy” Wickware, besides that he’ll be a major recurring role.
