Ryan Murphy Expands Netflix Lineup, Announces Cast of New Series

The ‘Glee’ producer has added multiple projects beyond ‘The Politician’ which debuts in late September.

The first is a miniseries version of ‘A Chorus Line’ with ten episodes. Not much is known about the project, besides the fact that it will revolve around the famous story of a musical audition.

He’s also created a series about famous fashion designer Halston, with Ewan McGregor set to star. The designer became famous internationaly in the 1970’s for his minimalist clothing with expensive fabric.

Besides scripted content, he’s also announced multiple documentary series, the subjects including Andy Warhol, the people he considers to be the most stylish around the world, and a lesbian couple that came out in the 1980’s. The latter has been titled ‘A Secret Love’.

His first announced Netflix project ‘Hollywood’ has added Patti LuPone to its cast. She’ll join Holland Taylor in a show that Murphy describes as “how absolutely everything has changed and nothing has changed” in terms of Hollywood and the sex industry. The show is set to debut in May.
