Netflix Rolling Out ‘Rhythm + Flow’ Competition Series Over 3 Weeks

By Ryan Flaherty

Sorry Netflix bingers- the streamer is experimenting with the traditional way of releasing television over a multi-week period. However, some of the binging aspect is still apparent, with Netflix releasing “batches” of episodes at a time rather than just one.

On October 9 four episodes of ‘Rhythm + Flow’ will premiere showcasing the audition process for each of the contestants. The following week on October 16 the next three episodes will be released featuring covers, rap battles, and music videos. The final push on October 23 covers collaborations and the season finale.

The musical competition series includes music giants on the hunt for undiscovered talent, with stars like Cardi B, Chance the Rapper, and John Legend all on the lookout. The series marks the first time Netflix won’t roll out all episodes at once, and may be indicative of a larger transformation in their TV model.
