The Emmy-winning writer of ‘Pinky and the Brain’ and ‘Animaniacs’, Gordon Bressack has died at 68.

Bressack died Friday in Los Angeles after a long health battle.

“Thank you for telling me I was going to be a filmmaker before I ever even knew what that meant,” wrote Gordon Bressack’s filmmaker son James Cullen Bressack on Instagram. “You meant the world to me, you always have and you always will.”

Gordon Bressack was the first recipient of the Writers Guild’s Animation Writers Caucus Animation Award in 1998.
