Marvel announced a new slate of television on top of the already announced projects, plus new information about upcoming films.
Television
Multiple new series were announced for the Disney+ streaming service, most notably ‘Ms. Marvel’. The show is breaking multiple barriers for the superhero brand, including the first Muslim hero. The show is reported to tie directly in to all of the MCU films, and eventually Ms. Marvel will get films of her own. More information here.
Bruce Banner’s cousin Jennifer Walters is also getting her own project, titled ‘She Hulk’. The lawyer gets dangerously strong powers after a blood transfusion, changing her life forever. Besides being an Avenger, she’s also part of the Fantastic Four, Defenders, and S.H.I.E.L.D.
Marvel has also ordered ‘Moon Knight’, a series following the life of Marc Spector, a man that has multiple personalities and is being guided by an Egyptian deity. He has multiple alter egos, most notably Mr. Knight- who solves crimes around the city.
Film
Kit Harrington has signed on to star in ‘The Eternals’, officially joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Game of Thrones star will join the previously announced cast with Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Salma Hayek, and others.
The sequel for the hit Marvel film ‘Black Panther’ doesn’t have any footage to show, but they do have a release date: May 6, 2022.
Parks
Disneyland has a new addition to its park! “Avengers Campus” is a Marvel themed section of the park that centers on the idea that the Avengers corporation is trying to recruit new members.
