A month after NBC cancelled the Lorne Michaels comedy, they’re picking it up once again for season 3 to be available exclusively on the service.
The Glenn Howerton/Patton Oswalt project will be the first scripted comedy ordered at NBC Universal’s streaming service. Showrunner Mike O’Brien called the show his “favorite project” after its cancellation and now says of its renewal: “I’m so overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from the fans. The cast and I are thrilled that we get to make more and I’m excited to work with the NBCU streaming platform.”
The NBCU service is slated to launch in 2020, and made headlines a few weeks ago with the news that it will have ‘The Office’ exclusively (sorry Netflix).
