Wynonna Earp has finally been saved. IDW and Syfy have announced that production will finally begin for the fourth season of the beloved comic adaptation. Since the project was renewed, IDW faced budget challenges (a $3.7 million net loss for the second quarter of 2019) as well as a loss of their Netflix deal after the first two seasons. In order to continue the show, Syfy will pay a higher licensing fee and Cineflix Studios will co-produce.
Season 4 and 5 of Wynonna Earp was greenlit at Comic-con last summer (see the video below). No production news has been released regarding season 5, but IDW says they still intend on making it.
